Pandemonaeon – ‘Dangerous Beauty’ (2010)
Rating: 5/10
Release: 1 November 2010
Label: Trance Jam Records
Again an invitation of a band to review their CD. I feel honored.
The band itself claims to play Gothic Tribal Folk Metal, so that sounds very promising. When I listen to the first song, I’ve started to write this review in my mind already. Because of the wide spectrum the band is going to show us, in my mind, I recommend all metalheads to skip the first track.
However, the CD continues like this, it is not bad at all. Musically, it is also all well together, but the fans of the raw work, shouldn’t bother when they haven’t heard this album.
For those who crave bands like Enya and Clannad as well, but also the rougher work of Gothic bands, should not be shy to give it a listen. In the music there are all kinds of folk influences indeed, but they are neatly interwoven, sometimes symphonic, rock songs, piece by piece well put together.
