Pff.. Time to rest! Trollward just released their first promo, and it’s one that leaves an impression behind!
Just 13 minutes, and this piece of typical, Slavic troll-metal is done. While this demo knows 8 ‘songs’, there are just two real songs on this demo. The others sound like mere simple ideas or soundscapes with a duration of 1.30 minutes or less. However, these two songs are incredibly good. Raging fast, happy and chaotic. The best way to describe it would probably be ‘Korpiklaani on Speed’. There are no vocals in this record, so all music is instrumental.
A nice acquaintance with the Belarusian Trollward. The biggest drawback of this EP is that there are just 2 real songs, while the rest seems to be just filler material. A good start, though the feeling stays that this is a missed opportunity; 2 or 3 songs extra could’ve taken this EP to the next level.
