Sometimes you need to be grateful of the friends you have. It’s because of one of them that I got to know the band ‘Oak Pantheon’, a band which otherwise might not have reached me. Because I want everybody to know the beauty of this music, a small review.
Oak Pantheon is a pagan-black band from America. Not just the ordinary paganblack, but the melodic kind with a load of shoegaze influences. It could be compared to the harsher side of Alcest, so with grunts (while clean is also used multiple times), but with that beautiful, dreamy atmosphere which drifts you away from the world nowadays.
Vivacious, melancholic and diversity are the best things about this album. From acoustic neo-folk passages, ‘till raging paganblack with a melodic touch, it all adds up to one big masterpiece.

I can recommend Oak Pantheon to everyone who loves music like Alcest or Agalloch. However, I can recommend everyone to take a listen to this; lovely music to dream away to, lovely music to forget every-day life.
