‘This songs were never released before and now they are included in this CD in honour to the ex-members due to his dedication when they were part of the bands’. Was stated beautifully on the back of this CD. Besides the worse grammar, I sincerely ask myself if these ‘ex-members’ would appreciate it that this is released for them. Luckily this is a split-CD, so not one, but two bands have the opportunity to completely miss the point. What a joy..
We start with the part of Mysteriis, and literally everything, and then I mean EVERYTHING that could be wrong with this release is wrong. I didn’t think it was possible, but this is by far the worst I’ve ever heard. I think they supposed to make black-metal, but I’m not entirely sure. It’s out of tune, and many mistakes are made, I don’t think they know what the words ‘stick to a consequent rhythm’ mean and the overall sound makes you cry.
Luckily this is a split, so maybe Futhark would show how it needs to be done. Unfortunately not. While this is slightly better than Mysteriis (if it was worse I’d have lost my hope in humanity completely), it’s still really, really awful. Especially the… ‘Vocals’ are terrible. Again the music isn’t played in a proper rhythm and the compositions are just too bad to take it serious.
I’m not entirely sure what I need to do with this record. Secretly I hope this was all a big joke. If not, I can recommend the bands to immediately stop making music. This should be forbidden.
