Conorach @ Little Devil

A varied night, in a pub which is close to my home, and free of charge? Those are the nights that make me happy. Friday the 6th of december was the evening where The Devil’s 3rd, Lord Volture and Conorach for the folk/powermetalfan played.
Conorach was the first band of the night, and ensured that the crowd was warmed up for the rest of the evening with their catchy mix of folk and powermetal. The sound wasn’t really good, which resulted in that the vocals weren’t clearly noticable in the loud mix of mainly guitars and keys.
Every aspect showed that this band knows how to perform. While the stage was obviously not the biggest they ever played on (at least, I hope!), they used the available space to a maximum. The band clearly seemed to enjoy themselves and played well, though the guitar player made some little mistakes now and then.
Conorach also prepared some surprises, in the shape of new songs that were played for the first time live. The new songs seem to be a bit more guitar-orientated, but still have this typical, characteristic sound of Conorach. I already look forward to the new album!
