Veremiy – ‘Vilʹna zemlya’ (2014)
Rating: 7/10

What will the second full length album by the Ukraine band Veremiy bring us. This album is called ‘Vil’na zemlya’, the land of Vilna. Although the music starts rather solid, it’s at its best slightly harder then the previous album. But sure it’s nice. It might be called Melodic and Folk-metal, it’s not very heavy and they never cross a line.
It’s nice and neat, almost a solid kind of popmusic. But nonetheless they have a great sound, with violin and flutes added to the regular instruments. A nice warm male voice, singing in this nice language.
Well, there isn’t a lot to say about this album, it’s a decent one for the fans of the ‘neat and tidy’ rock/metal. The use of the authentic instruments is great, but would have liked it a little bit more spicy. It’s a bit ‘middle of the road’, a bit too ‘safe and sound’.
