My Siberia. This album is as wild as Siberia, a proud region known for the permafrost tundra, and the proud wild of nature.
This one man band started in 2012, and I’ve followed it for some time now. (I didn’t know it was Russian folkmetal, I just listened it and enjoyed it.) I must say, it reflects the Russian way of life in the wild. Heavy, slow paced but full of pride.
And there’s more to respect. He’s a great singer, dark voice, knows his historic musical instruments and knows his modern metal. Everything is greatly outlined, the composition, the music, the tone.
I can’t say anything else but to listen. Listen and respect. For this album demands it, and if you have even just a little respect, you’ll better give it. Siberia will eat you alive if you have no respect for her.
But one quick and final word of advice: don’t listen when feeling sad. It’s a bit doomy from time to time.
