After a two year creative process and a year of work in three different studios in three different countries, we finally have something that we are proud of more than anything in our whole careers. Days of Disquiet is an album that unifies themes of nature and mythology as in our previous albums, but also adds the figure of the post-modern human of today.
The pandemic that is still shaking the world, has shifted our lives quickly. Nobody anticipated this, but for the past years, the sound of something big coming our way has become louder than ever. It was in this noise that we delved deep into the human soul. We look at the paradoxes of the modern world, in which we are more connected, but more far apart than ever, in which we choose fakeness instead of something ageless, in which we feel as gods, but crumble down and shatter as soon as we lose our comfort. Days of Disquiet is a reflection of today’s world. It is not only a mirror of the self, but a vibration of the world’s neverending noise.
We do not preach. There is already enough of ‘wisemen’, soul guides and pseudoscientific hypocrites. We want everyone to find lurks is in the Depth of the Soul, whilst the Mechanical Sun spins and the Children of Noise choir sings.
While working on this album, there were no doubts, that we’d soon be back on stage playing to YOU ALL! We miss that a lot and it’s been far too long since our last concert. Even though some plans had to be changed, we promise that you’ll hear our new songs very soon!
The album was recorded in Sound Division Studio in Riga, Latvia, and Muzlab Studio in Vilnius, Lithuania. Mixing done in Muzlab Studio. Mastering by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura, Leprous) at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden.
