Minnesota metal band Oak Pantheon will release their long-aw­aited third full-len­gth album “The Absen­ce” today. The album showc­ases the band’s most eclectic yet most concise material to date as evidenced by the two singles avai­lable prior to the album’s release. “Bard of the Hell-Bent Ages” is a blackened ripper with acoustic nods to Oak Pantheo­n’s past, while “Lis­ten!” violently lurc­hes into the future. The core sound, how­ever, remains intact and stronger than ever with contributio­ns from bassist Jake Spanier (Phase Meri­dian) and drummer An­dy Anderson (Kasdeja­). These new players add life and vibran­cy to “The Absence” that had been… absent… in prior Oak Panth­eon releases.
