Drunkelweizen released single
Raise your horns, tankards, and questionable life decisions! Drunkelweizen, the riotous drunkards of the Drunken Folk Metal scene, have unleashed their brand-new single, “A Frog (betrunken übersetzen)”, now streaming everywhere!
This raucous new track is a reimagined version of “Ein Frosch”, the original amphibian anthem from their debut album Pioneers of Alcohol. In true Drunkelweizen fashion, the band took the original, locked it in a metaphorical oak cask, and re-recorded it with an intoxicated twist: all English lyrics have been swapped out for German — despite the fact that the original German consisted mostly of counting and “prost.”

“A Frog (betrunken übersetzen)” is a chaotic celebration of beer, bewilderment, and bizarre folklore, guaranteed to delight fans of Trollfest, Ensiferum, and Finntroll. Fueled entirely by beer and questionable ideas, Drunkelweizen continues to carve out their place in the world of folk metal—one absurd anthem at a time.
So whether you drink from a stein, goblet, or the skull of thine fallen enemy, we invite you to join the band in a triumphant toast. Cheers! Skål! Prost!
