Agalloch

The band started in 1995 when a doom/death band seized to exist. Their first demo brought them a record-deal in 1999, enabling them to record “Pale Folklore”. Despite their style the band is deeply rooted in dark-metal. They like to experiment with different styles and they succeeded in creating a bridge between Gothic doom, black metal, neo-folk, post rock and ambient music. The evolve continually but they never part with their black-metal heritage.
Sadly curtains fall for the band in 2016.
