Andraste started in the moshpit at Paganfest 08. The music is firmly rooted in both traditional British folk and various forms of extreme metal, and we draw on a deep collective love and long experience of both. We’ve taken inspiration from stories, history and music from all over the British Isles and Europe, but especially from the Celtic and viking North.
