Einherjer

Einherjer was founded in 1993 in Haugesund, a small village at the west-coast of Norway. Their name comes form the Nordic mythology, it’s the live of the Vikings after their death. When a Viking died he was brought to Walhalla and he joined the army of Einherjer, with which he would fight against the giants at the side of the gods when Ragnarok comes.
Their first demo was recorded in their first year. In 1996 the band signed with Napalm records. In 2003 their début-album “blot” was released, which turned out to be their last…
It became quiet, until 2008 when the band returns from Walhalla and the band does a small number of gigs. In 2009 they took part in the extended versions of the Paganfest tour.
