Guahaihoque is the spirit of death, the gate-keaper of eternity. He guards the flame of live and death, and he’s the soul of good and evil.
The band tries to create a unique spiritual sound by using ancient wind instruments like Quena-flute, Quenacho-flute, Sikus, Panflute, Zampola and Malta. By blending these sounds with all kinds of Guahaihoque tries to call their ancestors with emotional and dreamy songs, filled with honour and pride. The band, founded in 1996 recorded a demo after a year. Because of difficulties in the band they were on hold for 6 long years, until 2004. Then they started rehearsing again and another demo was recorded.
After this some changes in the line-up took place and a First real album was released.
