The members from Lothlöryen come from Machado (Minas Gerais), where the band was founded in 2002, with the old name, Neverland. At the end of this year, the current name was adopted, a tribute to the work of JRR Tolkien (Lothlorien is the name of a high-profile elven forest in the fictional world of Arda, in The Lord of the Rings).
Even before completing one year, Lothlöryen launched its demo Thousand Ways to the Same Land, work that included the participation friend Bruno Maia, the Tuatha de Danann, on two songs.
In 2010 due to changes in the line-up the band with the departure of their vocalist, Lothlöryen pauses sequence shows.
