Lyriel from Gummersbach, Germany is founded in 2003. Half of the members came from the metalband Sorrowsend. The songs differ from dreamy ballads, sometimes in a medieval style, to hard pieces with classical arrangements and folk-elements. In 2005 the band releases their First album. The song “Lind e-huil”, is written in “Sindarin”, the elfish language from the books of JRR Tolkien.
In 2012 the band is moving towards Gothic Metal with their album ‘Leverage’.
