Selvans was born in 2014, to celebrate the inner spirit of the Italic lands, through the recreation of the cults and the folklore of the different ethnic groups that have dwelt in Italy from age to age; expressing this concept by means of sound, lyrics and aesthetics. Ancestral Italic melodies meld with atmospheric, sinister and evocative metal tunes to create a hymn to that ancient spirituality.
Over the years the music becomes more and more black metal and with the album ‘Dark Italian Art’ you can say the music has become black metal with no folk influences.
