Founded in 2007 as a studio project, Sjuk (the Swedish word for “ill”) is a Pagan Folk Metal band from Paris, France.
Their sound can be described as folk with Thrash/Death metal influences. Sjuk uses traditional instruments (harp, accordion, bagpipe, hurdy gurdy, flute) mixed with guitars and loud vocals.
The texts of the band are mostly based on Norse mythology and the time of the Viking Age.
In 2009, ‘Wolf Is Coming’ the first demo of the band is released. The aim of this production is to regroup the early years of the band. In 2011 the first EP ‘Time Has Come’ released.
