Smuta is a band from Rybinsk, Russia, which started in 2004. It intertwines the traditional extreme metal styles with a modern legacy of Slavic paganism and folk music. In the wistful and fierce, funny and grim music of Smuta, Russian history, the beauty of native wildlife and way of life, the spiritual heritage of Russia are showed. After they recorded some demo’s they released a first full length in 2007.
