Stilema begin as a folk band mostly inspired by traditional irish music. After they’ve recorded a demo tape composed by six entirely acoustic songs, they mixed up their music with rock and punk’s elements. In 2009 was released the Ep “2:3”, Stilema started to perfom in many Italian cities.
After a period of inactivity, Stilema came back in 2015 with a harder sound. Never forgetting their folk roots, they took a decisive step toward heavy metal, also adding symphonic and classical orchestrations. In 2017 a new Ep called “Ithaka” has been released, whose title-track was inspired by the homonym lyric of the Greek poet Kavafis.
