WarChant is a band based on old Romanian folklore with influences from subgenres like Thrash, Pagan and Black metal. Romanian and medieval folklore and folk music are blended together to give the music an unique and yet epic and glorious sound. Lyrical themes are of War, Dacian culture, Romanian culture and Folklore. WarChant has absolutely no connection with any neo-nazi or nationalists groups, “we express pride in being members of nation and glorifying our past and folklore, but we respect any other nation equally. Our songs are based on old tales and folklore, and we do not intend to be interpreted in any other sense than mentioned above.” (Edwin Marc on behalf of the band).
